These days the security of marriage equality feels more important than ever. As we look ahead to our future together, we want to make sure our commitment is recognized and protected. So, we’ve decided to get legally married before the upcoming election in a state that has always supported marriage equality.

October 27, 2024 will be the start of our official journey as a married couple. We picked this date because it’s meaningful to us and it lets us celebrate our love in a place that’s special to us. Getting engaged in Hawaii was unforgettable and it feels right to get married there, with our parents by our side and the beauty of the islands around us.

But the celebration doesn’t stop there! While we’ll get legally married in Hawaii, we want to share this moment with all our loved ones. Next year, we’ll gather in Aurora, New York for a ceremony and celebration with our close family and friends. This will give us the chance to fully celebrate our commitment to each other, surrounded by the people who have supported us along the way.
